G3C

G3C is Germanys Chips Competence Centre, serving as a central hub for chip design, heterogeneous integration, and system development while supporting SMEs and start-ups.

The German Chip Competence Centre (G3C) is Germanys national hub within the European Chips Act, dedicated to collaborative, application-oriented development in chip and chiplet design, heterogeneous integration, and advanced 2.5D/3D system design. As the initial contact point for users, particularly SMEs and start-ups, G3C facilitates transparent access to infrastructure under the Chips Joint Undertaking, including the European Design Platform and Pilot Lines. The centre enhances technical and methodological skills through training opportunities with the Chip Design University Alliance, the Microtec Academy, and commercial providers. By offering guidance on funding opportunities such as the Chips Fund and regional incubator programmes, G3C strengthens innovation capacity, raises awareness of semiconductor opportunities, and fosters collaboration across Germany and the wider European ecosystem.
