CROCCS is Croatias Chips Competence Centre, bridging academia and industry to empower SMEs in chip design and semiconductor technologies.
The CROatian Competence Centre for Semiconductors (CROCCS) is Croatias national semiconductor competence centre, established under the European Chips Act. Led by the Ruer Boskovic Institute (RBI), CROCCS aims to strengthen the Croatian semiconductor ecosystem by fostering collaboration between universities and SMEs. The centre focuses on developing a comprehensive educationdesignprocessingcharacterization chain to build confidence in chip design activities within Croatia. CROCCS provides access to European design platforms, pilot lines, and advanced measurement equipment, supporting SMEs in analog, digital, and mixed-signal chip design. Additionally, the centre offers training programs to reskill and upskill engineers, creating job opportunities and promoting technology transfer to industry. CROCCS plays a pivotal role in integrating Croatia into the European semiconductor value chain.
