CROCCS
CROCCS (Croatian Competence Centre for Semiconductors) is Croatias national competence centre supporting the adoption of semiconductor and chip design technologies, particularly among SMEs.
CROCCS bridges the gap between academic expertise in integrated circuit (IC) design and limited industrial uptake. It establishes a complete educationdesignprocessingcharacterization chain, enabling companies to experience the full chip development cycle from concept to tested demonstrator.
Led by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), the centre provides specialised training in IC design, joint academiaindustry demonstrator development, access to design platforms and pilot lines, and advanced testing and characterisation services. It also supports users through consulting services in semiconductor technologies delivered by national experts.
CROCCS connects industry, academia and research institutions, contributing to the objectives of the European Chips Act and positioning Croatia as an active player in the European semiconductor ecosystem.
