InnoSemi is the Chips Competence Centre of Poland, created to strengthen national innovation capacity and link Polish stakeholders with Europes semiconductor initiatives.
InnoSemi is Polands Chips Competence Centre dedicated to strengthening the adoption and deployment of advanced semiconductor technologies across the national economy, with a particular focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The centre aims to bridge the gap between semiconductor research and industrial application, reinforcing Polands and Europes innovation capacity in micro- and nanoelectronics as key enabling technologies.
InnoSemi supports the development and implementation of customer-specific semiconductor solutions within electronic systems and promotes access to semiconductor design and technology services available both nationally and across Europe. It also plays a key role in connecting stakeholders with European pilot lines and design platforms, helping organisations benefit from shared infrastructure and expertise.
A central pillar of the centres activities is skills development, offering training programmes and upskilling opportunities in semiconductors through both in-person and online formats. This contributes to building a highly qualified workforce capable of supporting the evolving needs of the semiconductor sector.
The centre operates as a consortium of leading Polish organisations, bringing together industry, academia, and research institutions. Core partners include the Lukasiewicz Research Network Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (coordinator), Lukasiewicz PORT Polish Center for Technology Development, the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEIT), the University of Warsaw, Poznan University of Technology, and Lodz University of Technology.
Together, these partners provide a broad range of competencies aligned with key application areas such as sensor technologies, smart cities, automotive systems, e-government solutions, and hardware cybersecurity. Through its activities, InnoSemi strengthens collaboration between research and industry, accelerates technology transfer, and enhances the competitiveness of the Polish and European semiconductor ecosystem.
