Czech Semiconductor Centre joined Czech Semicon Days 2026 as an expert partner
The Czech Semiconductor Centre was taking part in this year’s Czech Semicon Days 2026 as an expert partner of the international forum organised by CzechInvest. The event, held from 18 to 20 May in Prague, Brno and Ústí nad Labem, connected Czech semiconductor expertise with leading European and global partners, investors, companies, universities and public-sector representatives.
This year’s Czech Semicon Days focused on the theme Semiconductors for Future Mobility and highlighted the growing role of Czechia in strategic technologies, advanced manufacturing, chip design, power electronics and semiconductor supply chains. As an expert partner of the event, the Czech Semiconductor Centre was contributing to discussions on how Czech research, innovation and industry can become more strongly integrated into European and global semiconductor value chains.
The Centre was actively involved in the programme from the opening day. On Monday, 18 May, Karel Masařík, who has led the Czech Semiconductor Centre to date, presented the Centre during the Supplier Day programme. This part of Czech Semicon Days created space for dialogue across the semiconductor supply chain, bringing together suppliers, manufacturers and ecosystem partners to explore new business opportunities and strategic cooperation. Deputy Director Jana Drbohlavová was part of the Talent Development & Technology Transfer section.
A significant moment for the Centre was also the introduction of Petr Kamenický as the new Director of the Czech Semiconductor Centre. His appointment marks the next phase in the Centre’s development and its role in strengthening Czechia’s position within the European semiconductor ecosystem.
During event, a breakfast discussion with Karel Havlíček, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, brought together key representatives of the Czech semiconductor ecosystem to discuss the future of the sector in the European context. The debate focused on the European Chips Act, AI, quantum technologies, talent development and the role of CSC in connecting Czech companies with European semiconductor initiatives.
The Centre’s presence continued strongly on Tuesday, 19 May, during the Czech Investment Forum in Prague’s Fanta Building. Karel Masařík joined the discussion on effective industry-academia collaboration, while the wider programme also featured key Czech ecosystem representatives including David Uhlíř from the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC), Stanislav Černý from the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster (CNSC), and other partners from regions, universities and innovation organisations. Throughout Tuesday, the Czech Semiconductor Centre was also represented at its booth in the Fanta Building, where visitors could learn more about its activities, services and role in supporting the Czech semiconductor ecosystem.
The programme also included the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between CzechInvest, Czech Semiconductor Centre and the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster. The memorandum confirms a shared ambition to strengthen the Czech semiconductor value chain, promote Czechia abroad as an investment-ready semiconductor partner, support the involvement of domestic companies in international supply chains and accelerate the transfer of technologies into practice. (More details here.)
Through its expert partnership, programme participation and institutional cooperation, the Czech Semiconductor Centre is helping to make the Czech semiconductor ecosystem more visible, better connected and better prepared for cooperation with European and global partners. Czech Semicon Days 2026 therefore represents not only an important international meeting point, but also a platform for turning Czech semiconductor potential into concrete projects, partnerships and investment opportunities.
