The discussion featured Regis Hamelin, CTO of BLUMORPHO and Coordinator of the aCCCess project, alongside Pieter Klinkert, Partner and Co-founder of PhotonVentures. Together, they offered a compelling look at how investment firms are navigating the complex and fast-moving world of photonics and emerging technologies.
A central theme of the session was the unique investment thesis behind venture capital firms dedicated exclusively to photonics. Speakers highlighted how identifying high-potential startups in such a specialized and technically demanding field requires both deep expertise and a forward-looking perspective.
