The ChipNL Competence Centre (CCCNL) will be officially launched on 29 October 2025 at the Noviotech Campus in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
As the Dutch member of the European network of Chips Competence Centres, CCCNL serves as the national hub for the semiconductor industry. It supports startups, scale-ups and SMEs by providing access to expertise, talent and funding, and by connecting them with partners across Europe. The launch event will bring together stakeholders from industry, academia and government to discuss how the Netherlands contributes to Europes semiconductor value chain from chip design and heterogeneous integration to equipment innovation.
Programme overview - Opening and introduction Elly Zwartkruis, Managing Director, CCCNL - European Design Platform Romano Hoofman, Strategic Development Director, imec - Chip Design and AI Bratislav Tasic, Department & Programme Manager, NXP - Heterogeneous Integration Martijn Heck, Professor of Integrated Photonics, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) - Internationalisation ambitions Moderated by Naomie Verstraeten, Chief Innovation & Technology Officer, Brainport Development
The programme combines short presentations, deep-dive sessions and panel discussions highlighting the interaction between semiconductors and photonics, the impact of artificial intelligence on design processes, and Europes long-term international ambitions under the Chips Act 2.0. A networking lunch will conclude the event, providing an opportunity for exchange between representatives of national competence centres and the wider European semiconductor community.
